Bewbush Awarded Olympic "Get Set" Status

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games have awarded the school with  a plaque and certificate to acknowledge the school's sporting ethos and their involvement in the London 2012 education programme.

We are now a part of an  active London 2012 community of schools and colleges across the UK– the Get Set network - and will receive access to exclusive competitions and 2012 Games related opportunities.

Sebastian Coe, chairman of London Olympics, said: “ I am proud to welcome Bewbush Primary School in to the Get Set network for their exciting work around the Olympic Values of friendship, excellence and respect and the Paralympic Values of inspiration, courage, determination and equality.”

Bewbush Girls football team win Tesco Cup

The girls football team won the district round of the Tesco Cup and will go on to represent Crawley Primary Schools in the Sussex round of the tournament.

After winning all of their group games with goals from Amy, Jodie, Millie and Caitlin.

They then drew with West Green in the semi-final but won 3-0 on penalties, with Millie saving all of West Green's penalties whilst we scored all three.

The Final was against Milton Mount who had beaten The Oaks in their Semi Final.

An opening goal from Paige put Bewbush into an early lead, the lead was extended with a goal from Amy and then another from Jody to secure a 3-0 victory.

The team were presented their medals by Nathaniel White, representing Football in the Community, from Freedom Leisure.

We are really excited to be able to offer a Breakfast Club for the children in our school. It starts a 8:00am and runs until start of the school day.
